Masih ingat Galaxy S, handphone Android populer besutan Samsung yang beberapa tahun ke belakang sangat terkenal? Setelah kemaren muncul Galaxy Ace Plus, Samsung nampak begitu gencar mengeluarkan smartphone terbaru dari keluarga Galaxy. Di tengah rumor dan spekulasi mengenai Galaxy S III, ternyata vendor asal Korea Selatan itu memilih untuk memperkenalkan Galaxy S Advance terlebih dahulu.Galaxy S Advance memiliki kode seri GT-i9070. Ia akan menambah rentetan smartphone dari keluarga Galaxy yang menggunakan prosesor dual core. Di situs resmi Samsung Mobile Press, Samsung membeberkan spesifikasi Galaxy S Advance. Smartphone ini dibekali prosesor dualcore 1GHz, RAM 768MB, dan berjalan dengan sistem operasi Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Untuk memori internal, Galaxy S Advance tersedia dalam 2 pilihan, yakni 8GB dan 16GB. Selain itu, smartphone ini juga memiliki kamera belakang 5MP dengan LED flash, dan kamera depan 1,3MP. Untuk konektivitas, tersedia Bluetooth, Micro USB, Micro SD, serta Wi-Fi dan HSDPA 3G untuk koneksi internet.
Dari sisi desain, Galaxy S Advance memiliki layar 4 inci beresolusi 480x800 Super AMOLED, dengan tipis 9,69 mm, sedangkan panjang dan lebarnya adalah 123.2 x 63mm.
Galaxy S Advance bisa disebut penerus dari Samsung Galaxy S generasi pertama, memiliki kelengkapan hardware yang sama dengan pembeda prosesornya yang sudah dual core. Namun, jika dilihat dari bentuknya yang sedikit melengkung, Galaxy S Advance lebih mirip smartphone Samsung lainnya, Galaxy Nexus.
Harga dan Jadwal rilis Samsung Galaxy S Advanced
Ponsel yang didedikasikan sebagai penerus sang 'legenda' ini kabarnya akan dirilis lebih dulu di Rusia pada Februari ini, sayang sekali harganya belum diketahui secara pasti.
